Itinerary
Day 1: HA NOI - HA GIANG - QUAN BA - YEN MINH (LUNCH/DINNER)
6:00-6:30 AM: The car and tour guide will pick up guests at the pre-arranged meeting point.
11:00 AM: Guests will have lunch in Tan Yen town (Ham Yen, Tuyen Quang).
2:00 PM: Stop to visit the Holy Double Bridge Temple located on the banks of the Lo River. This is one of the most sacred temples in the Northeast region.
3:00 PM: Arrive in Hà Giang city, take commemorative photos at Km0 of Hà Giang. This is the intersection of National Highway 2, National Highway 34, and National Highway 4C, also known as the “Happiness Road.”
4:30 PM: Stop at the Quan Ba Heaven’s Gate rest area to take photos of the Twin Mountains or the Fairy Mountains, also known as the Twin Mountains of Quan Ba, and the panoramic view of Tam Son town from above.
5:30 PM: Arrive in Yen Minh, guests check in and rest.
6:30 PM: Have dinner. The evening is free for leisure. Overnight stay in Yen Minh.
Day 2: YEN MINH - LUNG CU - MA PI LENG - DONG VAN - MEO VAC (BREAKFAST/LUNCH/DINNER)
6:00 AM: Have breakfast and embark on a journey to admire the majestic beauty of the Global Geopark – Dong Van Karst Plateau. Along the way, make stops to visit:
– Cao Street, with typical H’mong houses surrounded by stone fences.
– Explore Sung La Village, where you can visit the Ancient H’Mong House with earth walls. This location was used as a setting for the 2006 film “The Story of Pao,” directed by Ngo Quang Hai, adapted from the short story “The Sound of the Mouth Harp Beyond the Stone Fence” by writer Do Bich Thuy, winner of 4 Golden Kite Awards. Take a break and capture the beauty of buckwheat flowers near the ripe slope.
– Visit Lung Cu Flagpole, the northernmost point of the country, and the highest point on the map of Vietnam.
12:00 PM: On the way back to Dong Van Town, set up camp for a BBQ lunch. After lunch, you have the option to park your motorbike or bicycle, depending on your preference, to conquer the four famous mountain passes.
– Conquer Ma Pi Leng 2, a trekking path that has been cemented. Check-in at the perilous and rugged stone plateau, but be cautious as it is extremely small and dangerous. Skilled handling of the handlebars is required for this challenge.
– Conquer Ma Pi Leng Pass on the way to Meo Vac, also known as the most beautiful section of the road named the ‘Happiness Road.’
– Capture the majestic beauty of the 800m deep Ma Pi Leng abyss – the deepest geological cut in Vietnam.
– Cruise on the Nho Que River: Board a boat and sail down the Nho Que River to Hem Tu San, the deepest gorge in Vietnam located on the Nho Que River. The Nho Que River flows into Vietnam from the Xeo Lung hamlet, Lung Cu commune, Dong Van district, passing through the Tu San Gorge, following the footsteps of the Ma Pi Leng Pass.
5:00 PM: Return to Dong Van town, check into a hotel for rest.
6:30 PM: Have dinner at a restaurant. In the evening, explore the Old Town of Dong Van at your leisure, a location that has existed for nearly a century. Enjoy a cup of coffee at a Old Town Cafe (self-payment required).

Day 3: MEO VAC - VUONG'S HOUSE - HA GIANG - HA NOI (BREAKFAST/LUNCH)
Morning: Guests wake up to witness the vibrant scene of people from various ethnic groups converging from mountainous paths to the Meo Vac market for the weekly Sunday market session. Simultaneously, we purchase food for a barbecue lunch at the solitary tree.
07:00 AM: Have breakfast and board the return journey to Hanoi. En route, visit the Meo King’s Palace – belonging to the powerful and influential Vương Chính Đức family, located in the valley of Sà Phìn commune. This family held immense wealth and authority in Chau Dong Van in the early 20th century.
12:00 PM: Set up camp and start grilling BBQ at the solitary tree in Ha Giang, within the Lìn Mông valley.
7:30 PM – 8:30 PM: Return to Hanoi, concluding the program. Looking forward to meeting our esteemed guests again.
