This will undoubtedly be one of the most amazing experiences. Join Meditours Ha Giang to explore this program together.

After convering 20km of the pass, the group stops for photos at the Ma Pi Leng viewpoint, overlooking the Nho Que River winding like a silk ribbon along the mountain.

The journey includes a fascinating experience of cruising on the Tu San Gorge – Nho Que River in Tu San Gorge, considered the deepest gorge in Southeast Asia and featuring unique geological formations in Vietnam. Evening 7:00 PM: The group has dinner with the specialty of Black Chicken Hotpot. After dinner, guests stroll through Dong Van Old Quarter located in the center of Dong Van town, Ha Giang. Though not as large-scale as Hanoi’s Old Quarter or Hoi An, it still retains its unique charm, attracting visitors with around 40 houses under 100 years old nestled at the foot of the rocky mountain. Especially, guests have the opportunity to enjoy coffee in the Old Quarter’s cafes, featuring a blend of local and Chinese architectural influences. Overnight stay at a hotel in Dong Van town.

FAQs

Why should I buy individual health insurance?

This is the most important type of insurance that Meditours recommends all racers coming to Vietnam should purchase. It will provide protection in case of accidents or injuries. As you cannot obtain local permits with a tourist visa, even if you have a business visa, you still need a sponsor company and wait for 7-10 days. This means it is nearly impossible to obtain a local permit. Therefore, you cannot purchase personal health insurance from Vietnamese companies. Fortunately, you can purchase personal health insurance from companies like Allianz, CHI, World Nomads, etc. They only require your international or national driver’s license. In this case, you will be fully insured if anything happens.

Where do we stay overnight on our trip?

When joining our tour, you have the option of two types of accommodation: hotels or homestays. Your choice between a hotel or a homestay depends on your preferences. Hotel: Our adventures often take us to remote locations, so the hotels available are typically small in size. Nevertheless, they are equipped with standard amenities to meet your needs, including comfortable beds, hot water, and clean toilets. Additionally, when touring major cities, we provide accommodation in 3 or 4-star hotels. Homestay: Opting for a homestay allows you to fully immerse yourself in the authentic culture of the region. The families we select for homestay accommodations hold special permits from the local government, ensuring their certification. These families offer welcoming hospitality in their traditional stilt houses, where you can enjoy local cuisine and experience the warmth of the community. Amenities at homestays typically include private mats, blankets, mosquito nets, fans, and clean toilets. Furthermore, choosing a homestay provides an opportunity to witness stunning scenery and embrace the tranquil atmosphere of the area.

Can I do the loop in 1 or 2 days?

You can completely complete the Ha Giang loop route in just 1-2 days under the guidance and companionship of local people and tour guides. However, to have enough time to rest, take photos, hike and other activities besides motorbikes, you should spend at least 3 to 4 days. Meditours Ha Giang offers you Ha Giang Loop 2-day tour, 3-day tour, 4-day tour, 5-day tour, helping you explore the majestic beauty of Ha Giang and have interesting experiences.

How do I pay a deposit for the tour?

We require a 40% deposit of the total trip cost to ensure successful reservation. Upon confirming your tour booking, we will provide bank account details for easy money transfer. You can also pay online via credit card with a 3.5% bank service fee. Upon confirming room reservations, we will send you a secure payment link for the deposit. The full payment for the tour must be settled at least 15 days before departure. Payment can be made in cash (USD), via credit card + 3.5% fee, or bank transfer.

What is the food/drink like during the trip?

All meals during the tour are inclusive of the tour price, with the option to accommodate vegetarian preferences. However, beverages are not included. It’s worth noting that the cuisine served during our tours stands out as one of the primary reasons our clients return for more experiences. We predominantly offer authentic Vietnamese dishes, which are renowned for being flavorful, diverse, and nutritious. Freshness is guaranteed, as our meals are prepared with an abundance of locally sourced vegetables. While we occasionally opt for basic roadside eateries, rest assured that the food is consistently fresh and offers a wide selection. Among the highlights are iconic dishes such as PHO (rice noodle soup), BUN CHA (grilled pork noodles), and NEM (spring rolls). With the diverse cooking methods employed by local residents, you can expect a variety of culinary delights throughout the duration of your extensive motorcycle tour in Vietnam.

What should you bring when riding a motorbike in Vietnam?

We will send you a checklist of essential items for the trip based on the destination and duration of the visit. Additionally, for all motorcycle, car, trekking trips, we will provide you with helmets, gloves, reflective vests, raincoats, etc. However, we are sure that your own belongings will fit you the best, so you can bring along all the necessary items. Below is a sample list of what to prepare for a trip to Ha Giang – Vietnam.
  • Clothing: Motorcycle jacket, helmet, gloves, boots (rubber boots for rainy season), headscarf. T-shirts, socks & underwear, long-sleeved shirts, turtleneck shirts, jeans, lightweight jacket, leather pants. Zippered bag, riding boots, headscarf, sunglasses, and protective goggles.

Does the company accept children on the trip?

Our Ha Giang tours all welcome children. However, for some adventurous motorbike tours or demanding trekking excursions that require physical fitness, we limit the participation of children to ensure their safety and the progress of the entire group. You can consider some sightseeing tours by car or pickup truck.
